CleanInk

CleanInk is a tool to help with localization of your .ink files. It generates a .json file that contains only the lines that should be translated, removing most of the code that would only trip up and slow down translation. Once the .json file has been translated, CleanInk will convert it back into an .ink file, so you'll end up with an exact copy of your original file...just in a different language!

• Quickly clean and prepare one or multiple files for translation.
• Project-based workflow, so you can manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Optionally keep comments and hashtags in the cleaned files to give context and information to translators.
• Get an accurate word count for all files, so you know how much needs to be translated.
• Optionally add a suffix to the final file names (so you can have story_en.ink, story_fr.ink...)
• Force inclusion (or exclusion) of lines simply by adding a hashtag

Note that this tool is not perfect, and it probably never will be. The ink language is too complex and flexible to guarantee perfect results for every edge case. That said, I've used the tool to translate several projects, so it is quite robust. And if you should run into issues, just leave a comment and I'll take a look!
